In the street, there is a clear class which runs throughout, however there are different strengths of those classes. Such as the main family are clearly working class but compared to the lovers family they are higher in that class than them. This is shown by the way that the family's interact with eachother, as with both family's arguing there is still a difference. This is shown by the main family keeping the argument behind closed doors with the children away and trying for them not to hear, although this is unsuccessful, but with the lovers family, the children are getting into trouble and being punished and also the argument is with everyone beside the lover. The family's have different types of being close, as the lovers family are not being close, whereas you can see that the main family are close, besides the parents, as they cannot stand to be together and also the Mother blames the Father for their child being hit by a car. Also the status in the main family is that the male is clearly dominant with his wife, but the woman is dominant with her children, as it should be. However, even though she is dominant with her children, she is also very close to them, unlike the lovers wife and her children, who gives the impression that she is very distant with her children or is in face, very distant with everyone. The status of the street is very dominant, which is shown by the man (whom i recognise from Harry Potter), as he seems to have a higher status than everyone else in the group as he is the one that everyone looks towards when it comes to helping the little girl. Therefore, the overall class of the street, i would say, would be working class, but with different aspects of it.
