Hollyoaks
In Hollyoaks you would expect the teenagers in here to dress quite current, i.e the 'indie' look, average jeans and for girls floral tops or tops with iconic pop stars on. Also you would expect the girls who go out to wear quite revealing clothes. In Hollyoaks this is what they wear as the programme is about current events, therefore they have to keep up with the current fashion trends. Also you would expect their behaviour to be not 100% perfect, but to at least be decent as they are role models for the people who watch it, but if their behaviour is bad, then they would have to face the consequences to show to the target audience that if you do bad things then you will get punished for it. Also, their relationships with parents you would assume that there would be plenty of different types of relationships, as everyone has different relationships, this is shown with the case of Phoebe, who doesn't live with her parents, Theresa, who lives with her other relatives instead because her Mother doesn't care about her, and Jono does live with his parents, however you don't see their relationship. Going through the cast, i have realised that none of the main characters who are teenagers have proper relationships with their parents, as only very few actually live with their parent, however their relationships aren't shown.
90210
In 90210 their clothing, because of them all being wealthy and living in America, is not the same as what people of that age would wear in England. We would expect them to all wear jeans or leggings, but due to the weather the girls can wear more feminine clothing. Due to the drama being set in America in England we all have the view that they would be reckless and go out and party all the time, which in 90210 is correct. Also, we would all suspect that there would be one person in the group who would be a little more cautious than the others, which there is, Silver.
